I was born in St. Louis where I lived until the age of 8. In 1979, my mom moved my sister, Jen, and I to Salt Lake City. All through my secondary education I dreamed of being a Fashion Designer. However, my dreams were put on a temporary hold when I married young and had three beautiful daughters who are now ages 18, 12, and 8.

While my eldest daughter was still in Jr. High, I divorced and became a struggling single mother. Then, I met the man of my dreams. I entered college with the support of my new boyfriend, Storm. Pursuing one of my other dreams as a Photographer, I took many classes in Photography. Storm was also a "starving artist". Our relationship grew closer and we realized that we were meant for one another - forever.

Cell Block ~ March, 2006
We were married on Halloween, 2003, and were surrounded by close friends and family. Soon after, we were preparing to attend what would be one of many Heavy Metal concerts. Though I searched and searched for the perfect shirt to wear, I could find nothing suitable. I was very disappointed to find such incredible prints for men, but the women's were very limited. So, with my eleven plus years of sewing experience, I decided to purchase one of the men's t-shirts and reconstruct it. Compliments started rolling in and Dark Queen Apparel was born.

Within a few months of its inception, Dark Queen Apparel became a full-time business and I was quickly gaining fans. Nearly two years has past since I quit working for "the man" and I have never looked back. During that time I have sponsored several events including:
"Opening the Gates of Hell - SLC 666 Eve"
"Friday the 13th Slasher Party"
"Utah's Worst Tattoo Contest"

"Vlad Dracul III" and "Elizabeth Bathory"

November 1, 2006 marked the release of Rue Morgue #62, which contained a feature article on my apparel.

Recently, I have created a line of original Men's Apparel that has been going quite well. I am also working some completely original works for my Ladies as well.
